 * Hey,
 * I bought the Pro version thinking it was done by a Pro, not FOR pros. Now to
   troubleshoot that update error for you I have to a. install a separte plug-in
   that b. won’t work out of the box without some major PRO-ing around:
    To enable
   error logging, create an empty file named “php-errors.log”. Place it in a directory
   that is not publicly accessible (preferably outside your web root) and ensure
   it is writable by the web server. Then add the following code to wp-config.php:
 * ini_set(‘log_errors’, ‘On’);
    ini_set(‘error_log’, ‘/full/path/to/php-errors.
   log’); error_reporting(E_ALL); For reference, the full path of the WordPress
   directory is: /home/prothun/public_html/altigcanyonizoard/

 * BlahBlahBlah
 * How Do I – an admitted NON-PRO – make anything WRITEABLE???
 * Do you call THAT support, please and thank you?
 * And, yes: I HAVE had a BAAAD day. So try and be more helpful and not give people
   general links and let them have their on pick of which contact-version to choose
   from, to start with.
 * By Golly!

 * Sorry, what? 🙂
 * Your problem is actually very simple. However, I can’t help you here as it is
   an issue (probably related) to the license, and it is not authorized to discuss
   this here (and there might be personal information exchanged). That’s why I simply
   asked you to contact me directly (the typeform). Just do this and this will be
   fixed quickly and easily. I am surprised you are surprised actually 😉

 * [@midway88](https://wordpress.org/support/users/midway88/): Being polite to the
   person that tries to help you usually solves the issue faster 😛
 * To add these lines to wp-config.php you have to:
 * 1) Use a FTP client (for example Filezilla) to download wp-config.php to your
   computer
    2) Open wp-config.php using an editor 3) Add these lines at the 2nd
   line 4) Save the changes 5) Upload wp-config.php using FTP client replacing the
   old wp-config.php 6) Try to reproduce the error 7) Download file php-errors.log
   using FTP client 8) Open it with editor and see if it shows something related
   to the issue you have 9) Send the file to developer to troubleshoot it
 * By the way I upgrade from 4.5.8 to 4.6.3 without any issue.

 * Hello, CyberCreep,
 * [@being](https://wordpress.org/support/users/being/) polite to the person that
   tries to help you usually solves the issue faster : I absolutely agree with you.
   It’s just that incomplete and unhelpful information does not make the supplicant
   any wiser nor happier.
 * And I’m glad you had no hitch updating. But unfortunately I did, without any
   witnessable wrongdoing from my side. So, if a support-process is actually as
   complicated and demanding so many steps on MY part then I expect to be actually…
   well, supported a bit more when this exceeds my capabilities.
 * In case you forget: I use the Pro version, which I gladly paid for at the time.
 * So from my point of view asking for some real support (which I have not received
   to this date from the creator of the plug-in, despite my filling out his Typeform
   thing) seems not to be sooo unpolite.
 * Cheers!
 * Still waiting, Jordy!

 * I don’t mean to be unhelpful [@midway88](https://wordpress.org/support/users/midway88/),
   but I have no idea why there is so much discussion about a tiny and simple issue
   and why you didn’t contact me through that form. You said you did, but I don’t
   see your message. Are you sure you actually did? Where are you waiting?
 * I have no idea why this is so complicated 🙁 I have no problem with 1-1 customers
   usually… and I have no idea how to handle this.
 * Also, since this is Pro support, we can’t have a discussion here, it is not authorized
   by WordPress.org. This is not my rule. And I must respect it. If a moderator
   comes here, he/she will probably say that and close the thread.
 * Please. Let’s make this easier. Simply contact me like you would contact a company
   with which you have an issue. Use that form, it’s easy, you just need to type
   your serial key, name, and a message. Ignore the Error Logs section. I am helpful,
   I am willing to help my users and do my best. But I can’t do it here.
 * _To the WordPress moderators: I am sorry in advance about the next paragraph,
   I am not sure how to handle this exactly so feel free to delete this whole message
   and close this thread if you think it’s out of the line. I am just trying to
   handle this._
 * To [@midway88](https://wordpress.org/support/users/midway88/): please remove
   your serial, save, re-insert your serial, save. If you changed your URL while
   using the plugin it might be registered to the wrong URL. Otherwise, simply login
   to the store and try to download and reinstall it again. It works for everyone,
   so it should work for you too. If you want more help, again, please contact me
   directly. Please remember: I am extremely willing to help you. But please make
   a step towards me 🙂
