 * Hi guys,
 * My colleagues and I have been working on a workflow system for small magazines
   that publish in multiple platforms (print, web, digital magazine). Our system
   is based in Dropbox, so Post via Dropbox works great for pushing content to the
   web version of the magazine!
 * We have one request for future versions: updating posts! Technically I have no
   idea how viable this is, but I’ve seen it done with a similar plugin for Google
   Docs, which unfortunately hasn’t been updated in 2.5 years: [http://wordpress.org/plugins/docs-to-wordpress/](http://wordpress.org/plugins/docs-to-wordpress/)
 * Ideally, with our system, an editor would be able to make a change to a single
   copy of an article and push that change to all platforms. For that, PvD would
   need to be able to update existing posts.
 * You can read more about our system here: [http://tkbr.ccsp.sfu.ca/mpub/2014/04/14/the-flying-narwhal-small-mag-workflow/](http://tkbr.ccsp.sfu.ca/mpub/2014/04/14/the-flying-narwhal-small-mag-workflow/)
 * Thank you and keep up the great work!

 * Hi,
 * what do you mean for updating post? Have you encountered some problems?
    Pvd
   already supports it in two ways: one is to put the id of the post that you want
   to update inside the [id] tag, the other is to move the txt file, which it was
   just posted, from the “posted” folder to the default folder (Apps/Post_via_Dropbox).
   It has the id in filename, e.g. “14-some title.txt”, in this way Pvd can update
   it. You can read faqs for more info.

 * Ah, I did not see that on the FAQ before! I see it now, but that feature is a
   bit buried among all the other tags.
 * The method seems a little convoluted from our end, since it requires knowing
   the ID of a post (and therefore cannot be automated; I’ve noticed the IDs are
   not sequential), but It’s workable.
 * Thanks!

 * As said, you can also move the txt file, which was published, from “posted” folder
   to the default one (Apps/Post_via_Drop box), it’s pretty straightforward.
