# Update Failed – Missing File?

 * When trying to update to 1.16.53 I get the following failed message:
 * An error occurred while updating UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore: The package could
   not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_MISSING_FILE (-4) : Missing archive file ‘/home/********/
   public_html/wp-content/uploads/updraftplus.1.16.53-q7VcQS.tmp’
 * I’m on WordPress 5.7 if that helps!

 * Please can you de-install and re-install UpdraftPlus? Do you still get the same
   issue? You will not lose your settings or backups in the process.
