# Update Plugins | Maintenance Issue

 * Dear Sir,
 * I am trying to update the plugins in the WordPress dashboard but I can’t able
   to update. always showing that enable maintenance mode. then I searched so many
   articles and I deleted the .maintenance file from public HTML. but again same
   error. again .maintenance file has been generated if I try to update the plugins.
   so I am struggling for the last 2 weeks. so kindly check and do the needful.

 * This can happen if you accidently refresh or leave the update screen before updates
   finish, especially on slower hosting or when updating lots of plugins at once.
 * Try deleting the maintenance file again and try updating each plugin one by one
   and waiting for each update to finish, also avoid using the the bulk update feature.

 * I am having a similar problem. When I make updates, it says they are made but
   when I return to dashboard, it shows that the same two updates have, in fact,
   not been made (Elementor and E Pro). Additionally, my dashboard shows that Maintenance
   mode is on, however, when I go to the site in a private window, maintenance mode
   is not on.
 * Also blog posts will not post though they are shown in the list version as published.
 * I do have the Astra theme, but I do not have the Starter plug-in. I have tried
   making the updates one at a time, but no success.
 * Please advise.
