# Update poor

 * Plugin did what it was supposed to until WordPress updated and now even after
   the plugin update the dropdown’s to select groups have dissapeared

 * I’m sorry to hear that updating your site caused an error. First of all, please
   make sure that this is caused by the Tag Groups plugin. Usually, if the menu 
   disappears on the tags page, there is a Javascript error caused by another plugin.
 * Deactivate all other plugins and then check if the menu is back. If so, reactivate
   them one-by-one and check if the menu is back.
 * You can also [open the Javascript console on the tags page](https://webmasters.stackexchange.com/questions/8525/how-do-i-open-the-javascript-console-in-different-browsers/77337#77337)
   and report error messages that you find there.

 * If you don’t manage to update your site and you’re not willing to try to find
   out the cause of the error, you should not give such a bad review! You don’t 
   even know which plugin caused the issue.

 * I have updated my site to the latest wordpress, php recommended, your plugin 
   etc. I am still in the process of checking through every plugin. In the blog 
   list your plugin no longer shows the tag cat. On the blog edit page it also no
   longer shows. I might add that I’m a software engineer so I understand about 
   code dependence. Anyway I will know soon if another plugin affected this although
   it should not really.

 * You could also try a plugin that solves problems caused by jQuery incompatibilities,
   like this one: [https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/)
   That is a common problem when people update their WordPress.
