 * Website : visitwinters.com
 * The Client Told Me they updated wordpress themselves (bad idea)
    and since then
   the website works fine, the login screen shows up, but when you log in it says
   the wp-config.php is missing and wont let you log in.
 * I took a look myself and the wp-config.php is not missing and all the info seems
   correct.
 * any help would be great thanks!

 * Have you tried removing the wp-config.php (save it somewhere else) and seeing
   what happens?

 * yes, it asks to create a new one.
 * i then create a new one, then it says wordpress is already installed.
 * and then the WordPress site stops working.

 * Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme by renaming your current theme’s folder
   in wp-content/themes using [FTP](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients) or whatever
   file management application your host provides.
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or phpMyAdmin.
 * – re-uploading all files & folders – **except** the wp-content folder – from
   a **fresh** download of WordPress.
 * – re-running the upgrade manually using wp-admin/upgrade.php.

 * You need either [FTP](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients) or whatever file
   management application your host provides – or Phpmyadmin. Have a look at the
