# Update problem (plugins ans WP)

 * Hallo Community.
 * I have been using WP as a platform for documentation for two years without problems.
 * As I did not update for some time now (WP is 3.3), I wanted to to that some days
   ago, but that failed completely.
 * Neither plugins nor WP itself can be updated automatically. The error message
   is i.e.:
 * “Update Plugin
    Downloading update from [http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/anthologize.0.7.zip…](http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/anthologize.0.7.zip…)
   Download failed. couldn’t connect to host Return to Plugins page”
 * When I tested the web address, I realized that downloads.wordpress.org does not
   exist.
 * Have there been chance since WP 3.3 – is there any chance to update automatically
   nevertheless?
 * The hoster tells me “WP is running without problems”
 * Thank you in advance for hints
