# Update Servces

 * I have searched and read through some previous posts, but the answer to this 
   is still not clear to me. In the Options section, there is a place to add update
   services. I found one was already added:
 * [http://rpc.pingomatic.com/](http://rpc.pingomatic.com/)
 * I added another one:
 * [http://weblogs.com/](http://weblogs.com/)
 * I am not sure if the format for the weblogs entry is right.
 * Bottom line – if I want best exposure for my blog, do I need to add any other
   sites to this list?

 * You can always go to [http://pingomatic.com/](http://pingomatic.com/) and see
   that ALL those services are pinged already when you write a post!
    Some of them
   are quite nasty if they realize you are double pinging… so be aware what you 
   put in your blog!

 * Thanks Moshu. Following your link to pingomatic.com, I see a page that requires
   you to check off what services you want to ping. Does WordPress cause pingomatic
   to automatically ping all of those?

 * Yes, you don’t have to check anything there. WP does that for you.
 * If you want to ping other services = not listed on the pingomatic page, you can
   add them. However, pinging even one service sometimes makes posting very slow.
