I made one last attempt. And now ‘POSSIBLE click the “upgrade”. I managed to do the upgrade. The plugin is active. I believe that now it works fine! I do not know why the “upgrade” was not working previously … Now it ‘all ok! My site works fine now. If you go to the page that tells you is to upgrade? If so, you can try a different browser, or clear the cache.
