 * I have a notice that my theme needs to be updated. I have been working on building
   this site for a month. Will it affect what I have already done? The theme is 
   TA Newspaper.

 * If you have been editing theme files directly, then yes you will lose those changes,
   as theme updates simply replace the theme files.
 * Instead of directly modifying theme files, we recommend using a child theme, 
   so the changed files will remain untouched: [https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/advanced-topics/child-themes/](https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/advanced-topics/child-themes/)
 * For all other changes, you’ll be safe. 🙂
