# Update WordPress

 * I have a message that I need to update wordpress.
    It says 5.5.3 is available.
   Above it says my installed version is 5.8.2! Am I just daft or does this seem
   a backward step. I tried to update several times without success. It keeps saying
   update failed.

 * HOw does it fail? Do you remove all the files in wp-includes and wp-admin before
   unzipping and uploading?
