# update wordpress 4.4

 * Hallo Yesterday I made the update to wordpress 4.4 in italian on my site where
   I also use wpml because I made an english translation and the update failed. 
   Now wp ask me to do the updata in english but I don’t want to do it because my
   site should be in italian.
 * I use updraft plus and I have made a complete back up few days ago. Do you think
   that If i restore the site I can go back and I will get again the link to update
   wordpress in Italian ? Any other idea on how to make the update ? I fear to do
   it manually because I am not able to do it and I fear to loose everything.

 * Hi Sonia,
 * I would recommend first checking the Site Language option in General Settings,
   and setting it to Italian (if it is not already).
 * If you do want to do the reset, then you should be able to just restore the database.
   This will reset your site to before the update attempt and you can try the update
   again. If you are worried about losing data, take a backup of the whole site 
   before trying to restore (so you have two backups, one from before the update
   attempt and one from after)

 * DNutbourne, thanks for your suggestion. I solve the problem.
    After a lot of 
   test (i cloned the site to another domain to see what happens doing tests) I 
   just upgrade the us wordpress and automatically it upgraded also the italian 
   Language that was the default Language.
