    Hi. For info, using twenty twelve theme if it matters.

    I have used WP Stats for the length of my time on WP and never had a problem.
    I have two updates pending WP Stats and one other (Yoast SEO). When I try to update (usually fine and very quick) I just get the scrolling symbol and ‘updating and that’s as far as it goes. In the meantime accessing other pages just comes up with this: “”Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.””. I could not even log out.

    Bluehost are blaming the plugin page and deactivated all. I have been reactivating one by one without issue so it seems to come down to one or the other of the plugins requiring update.

    I can find anything to help and I am reluctant to try the updates again in case I lose everything again. Have there been any problems with this plugin? Please bear in mind that tech stuff is beyond me. Thank you for your help. Geoff

    They update process is handled completly by WordPress, however WP Statistics is one of the larger plugin so if there are connectivity issues between the ww.wp.xz.cn servers and your host this sometimes can cause issues during the upgrade process.

    I’d suggeset trying to upgrade manually if you continue to have problems with the automated processs.
