 * I am using Jetpack and connects with WordPress.com. Yesterday when I tried to
   update my plugins from my [https://wordpress.com/plugins](https://wordpress.com/plugins)
   page it suddently didn’t show the ‘updates’ menu item. It’s the same for all
   my sites.
 * Am I the only one experiencing this?

 * Can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information
   about your site?
 * 1) Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2) Click on the Debug link appearing
   at the bottom of the page. 3) Click the link that says “click here to contact
   Jetpack support.” 4) Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
   5) Click the “Contact Support” button.
 * Thanks!

 * Yes … I’ve have this problem … all updates for plugins are not available. Drilldiown
   into a plugin … normally you can update the plugin for all sites listed in the
   one window … not available.
 * Why don’t you try it yourself … it will be a global issue. You can debug it yourself.
   Would that not be the best option?
 * This happened after the last update … not the one 30 mins ago or whatever.
 * Thanks regards Mark

   I don’t seem to experience this issue on my end.
 * Could you follow the instructions I posted above to send us more details about
   your site? We’ll be happy to take a look and see what’s wrong!

 * Hi Jeremy,
 * Have been through the Jetpack debugging Center.
 * Disabled all plugins … no change
    Changed theme from Divi to Twenty Fifteen …
   no change xmlrpc behaves fine.
 * Like mjmforce above none of my sites show updates for plugins.
 * Will contact jetpack Support as advised on debug page with link to this post.
 * Please advise if necessary.
 * Regards Mark

 * Ok … I’ve got 12 sites all the same config … with jetpack on all. It doesn’t
   work properly in that I can’t update plugins as advised.
    I went through the
   list you advised. No change. I spent time doing it and sending the debug info.
   Did you receive? Would you be kind enough to give me an update please. Many Thanks
   Regards Mark

 * Ok this Brandon Kraft … the happiness engineer … has not made me happy.
    My wordpress.
   com has 10-15 sites … with no way of updating plugins and no autoupdate available
   either I note. The answer I received was … well unsatisfying. I thought to myself…
   you know what I can’t wait around anymore .. I’ll just activate autoupdate for
   all plugins … not available either I’m afraid. Can you shed any light on this
   please. I’m just cap-in-hand trying to get a solution. The plugin update and
   autoupdate do not exist on my wordpress.com. It does say … Core autoupdates are
   explicitly disabled by a site administrator … so I’m going to check web host.
   Otherwise .. Can you advise me please. Thanks Mark

   Without knowing one of the sites’ URLs I can’t be of much help I’m afraid. But
   if you’re not happy with Brandon’s reply, feel free to reply to him and ask for
   more details. We’re always happy to help!

 * Thanks!
 * It looks like all Automatic updates are disabled on your site at the moment,
   either via a plugin or via the `WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE` constant in your `wp-config.
   php` file:
    [https://codex.wordpress.org/Configuring_Automatic_Background_Updates#Constant_to_Configure_Core_Updates](https://codex.wordpress.org/Configuring_Automatic_Background_Updates#Constant_to_Configure_Core_Updates)
 * This constant blocks WordPress and third-party services like Jetpack from remotely
   updating WordPress, themes, plugins, and translations.
 * Removing that constant should allow you to use autoupdates in Jetpack.
 * I hope this helps.

 * Jeremy,
    You were correct. There was a line in wp-config.php that controlled
   WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE constant. Host believed it was put there by the Cpanel WP-
   Auto Update function.
 * Solution.
 * Comment out the function
    Deactivate Jetpack and reconnect Bingo. works.
 * Thanks for your help
 * Regards Mark
