 * Hi folks — Love the plugin on sites that have a lot of 1-time guest authors,
but several times in the last few months plugin patches have changed elements
of the CSS structure such that our customizations no longer work. Today we had
to roll back the latest patch so that the background color and email icon that
   had suddenly appeared went away:

 * Here’s how things are supposed to look (after the rollback)
   Do I just need to
keep adjusting the CSS every time it breaks from a change? Is there a more consistent
basis I can expect or do I need to doublecheck after every update?(Sorry, it’s
been a long day — I really appreciate the power and ease of use of this plugin!!)

 * Hi [@mattdotcom](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mattdotcom/)
 * Thanks for using our plugin.
 * First, we apologize if our update caused any issues with your CSS. To prevent
such problems, please ensure you test updates on a staging or test site before
applying them to your live site.
 * Every update undergoes a thorough testing phase, during which we did not encounter
any issues. However, this does not guarantee that the update is entirely bug-
free. If you do experience any issues, please report them to us.
 * Second, we cannot provide specific suggestions without seeing your custom CSS
or understanding the exact issue. I attempted to access [https://bittmanproject.com/your-kitchen-except-better/](https://bittmanproject.com/your-kitchen-except-better/)
but did not observe any problems with the background color or email icon. Could
you please attach a screenshot to help us better understand the issue?
 * Lastly, as an alternative, you might consider creating a custom author box and
incorporating it into your theme. This approach will ensure that your customizations
remain unaffected by future updates. You can find guidance on how to do this
