# Updating plugins & theme

 * Should I follow similar steps below when I need to update Redis Object Cache 
   plugin, other plugins and theme?
 * Disable Redis, do update, enable redis and flush cache.
 * Reference:
 * 1. Disable Object Cache (Tools-> Redis)
    2. Update to 5.5 3. whatever cache plugin
   you are using – use: clear cache Pre-load regenerate CSS 4. Update Redis plugin
   5. FLASHALL

 * Most people can just upgrade WordPress without removing the object cache.
 * If you site causes trouble, you can follow those instructions, or try a simple“
   redis-cli flushall” command.
