# Updating WordPress Version

 * Hi,
 * Can you please confirm whether the plugin can be used to update the WordPress
   version on a site?
 * Is it safe to take a backup of a site (site A), restore it on a different site(
   site B), update the WordPress version (site B), export it (now with the updated
   WordPress) and import it back into the first site (site A). Will the WordPress
   version on the first site (site A) be updated?

   The plugin will not update the WordPress version. You have to update WordPress
   either before import or after. The plugin imports fine between different versions
   of WordPress but it will not change the version of the site – that’s left to 
   the user.
