Recently I had found it strange that it backed up the test staging site I had set up, even though the settings were were set to “manual” for the staging site. * I since deleted the staging site. When I backed up to live site today I noticed it was behaving strangely and cancelled the backup. The last successful backup was approximately 85 MB. When the backup reached about that size it began adding files up to 40 MB in size. To check, can you please send us a copy of the latest full backup log? This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab. It could not back up a different website from that one if it wanted to; it has no access to anything else. * If your WP site has got bigger than you expected it to be, the best way to investigate that is to use a plugin like: [https://wordpress.org/plugins/disk-usage-sunburst/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/disk-usage-sunburst/). I’ve set out the first line of email that prompted this query below. As you know a staging site is an exact copy of the live site, malahatlegion.ca. It resides in the same space as the live site in a separate folder. * I was surprised to see this backup for the staging site as I specifically turned the staging site settings to manual backup so the staging site would not be backed up. Also, does it show any schedule backup in the “Backup/Restore” tab? The backup could also be a “backup before update”? I found my website was much bigger than I realized. I did try the sunburst plugin David Anderson suggested but found there was a simpler one, “ My Simple Space” that just gave me the directory sizes. It showed my wp-content folder is almost 900 MB.
