updraftplus backed up incorrect links

I have a website and long ago I started the website with lets say domain1.com after few months I switched to new domain lets say domain2.com. Basically I changed the primary domain in cpanel to domain2.com previously domain1.com was primary domain in cpanel.
I 301 redirected domain1.com to domain2.com.Since the start i have been using updraftplus plugin to backup my website to google drive.
Now i tried to move my website to a different server I installed wordpress and installed the plugin uploaded the backup files through updraftplus and restored everything. The website looked as if its restored successfully.
But when I clicked on the links all the links on the website images, posts were all linked to domain1.com/whatever post or image and not domain2.com/anylink which should be the primary domain. How did that happen since domain2.com is my primary domain in cpanel and domain1.com is only a redirect no content is hosted on it.
