 * I just started getting this message in UpdraftPlus Backup/Restore
 * Warning: WordPress has a number (9) of scheduled tasks which are overdue. Unless
   this is a development site, this means that the scheduler in your WordPress install
   is not working properly. [Read this page for a guide to possible causes and how to fix it.](https://updraftplus.com/faqs/scheduler-wordpress-installation-working/)
 * Warning: The scheduler is disabled in your WordPress install, via the DISABLE_WP_CRON
   setting. No backups can run (even “Backup Now”) unless either you have set up
   a facility to call the scheduler manually, or until it is enabled. [Go here for more information.](https://updraftplus.com/faqs/my-scheduled-backups-and-pressing-backup-now-does-nothing-however-pressing-debug-backup-does-produce-a-backup/#disablewpcron/)

   Would you know what I can do about this?

 * Hi,
 * To help us work out the cause of your problem, can you please send us a copy
   of the backup log?
   This log can be found in the Existing Backups tab of the UpdraftPlus
   dashboard.If you cannot access the UpdraftPlus dashboard, then you can find the
   log file in the ‘wp-content/updraft’ directory via FTP or your hosts’ file manager.
 * Best Wishes,
   Bryle

 * If you need share that data please use [https://gist.github.com/](https://gist.github.com/)

 * [@bcrodua](https://wordpress.org/support/users/bcrodua/) You and the rest of

 * Hi,
 * I am seeing this warning message “14390.051 (4) [Warning] Your website is visited
   infrequently and UpdraftPlus is not getting the resources it hoped for; please
   read this page: [https://updraftplus.com/faqs/why-am-i-getting-warnings-about-my-site-not-having-enough-visitors/&#8221](https://updraftplus.com/faqs/why-am-i-getting-warnings-about-my-site-not-having-enough-visitors/&#8221);
 * This warning message causes UpdraftPlus not able to create or complete backups.
   UpdraftPlus is only able to run when WordPress is loaded into memory, i.e. when
   the site is accessed. As such, UpdraftPlus is not able to resume the backups
   in good time.
 * I would recommend looking into this guide, which includes several suggestions
   to solutions and workarounds for the low visitor issue: [https://updraftplus.com/faqs/why-am-i-getting-warnings-about-my-site-not-having-enough-visitors/](https://updraftplus.com/faqs/why-am-i-getting-warnings-about-my-site-not-having-enough-visitors/)

 * Hello Bryle,
 * I appreciate you letting me know,
 * I did review the document. Thank you.
 * The number of visitors has been about the same for months and this warning just
   started. Is it possible it is anything else?  I did notice in the link you sent
   that it may not be a problem.
 * The backend of the website does show the backup was finished. I can see the boxes
   for plugins, themes, uploads and others were all done. And I can see that it
   has started today’s backup (that one is saying not finished).
 * Does the log that I upload tell you that the backup was not complete?
 * I do get emails just recently that say the back up was not complete.
 * If you think I still need to do something it does gives options. Do you suggest
   any of them?
 * Thank you.

 * Hi,
 * Another thing you could consider is to make your backups run quicker. It is possible
   that is taking a long time to complete the process and it reaches to a point
   where there is very minimal activity on your site. Though UpdraftPlus would resume
   the backup until the server reaches its limit.
 * Please see FAQ: [https://updraftplus.com/faqs/how-much-resources-does-updraftplus-need/](https://updraftplus.com/faqs/how-much-resources-does-updraftplus-need/)

 * Hello Bryle,
 * I appreciate the document. I was doing full backups of my website in the C Panel
   at least 4-5 times a week. Is this too much? The host company told me to stop
   backing up because they back up.
 * Also, did the log that I uploaded tell you that the backup was not complete?
   I am asking because I can see the boxes for plugins, themes, uploads, and others
   were all done for the previous but not today yet.
   Thank you.

 * I have checked your site for http2 using this tool: [https://http2.pro/check?url=https%3A//unleashyourteam.net/](https://http2.pro/check?url=https%3A//unleashyourteam.net/)
 * As your site supports http2, you should not enable minify or merging
 * When loading a website from an HTTP1.1 server, A single request is processed
   at a single time period. therefore, the browser will first download the CSS,
   then another CSS, then another JS, then an image, and then the page will be rendered.
   This happens one after another, until all assets are loaded on the page. If you
   check a waterfall chart for this type of website loading, you will see that one
   request ends, and another one begins.
 * That’s why the conventional wisdom is that merging all of these requests into
   a single larger request is true, and will speed up the loading time of your website.
   And this is absolutely true. A single HTTP request on an HTTP 1.1 based server
   will always load quicker thqn multiple files, as there is no waiting period.
 * With HTTP 2, All requests are loaded simultaneously. There is no waiting process,
   and there are the same number of connections for the number of assets being requested.
   Therefore, merging and minifying will simply create a larger file, taking a longer
   time to upload and download, leading to a longer render process for the website.
   By keeping all of your individual files unmerged and minified on WordPress, they
   can all load at the same time, and each upload and download is for a smaller
   file, resulting in a quicker loading time.

 * I appreciate your information. I did do a little research.
   1. When you say “should
   not enable minify or merging” is that something I do or the host company?2. I
   have been told before there is a problem with the waterfall when I go to GT Metrix
   and test certain pages and one person who said it has something to with the host
   company but the host company told me it was not due to them. Is there a way of
   knowing this? Thank you

 * Your log does show that the backup did not complete.
 * Often with sites with low visitor numbers, it takes a little while before the
   backups start failing.
 * pdraftPlus can only make a backup when WordPress is loaded into Memory.  This
   normally happens when someone visits the site.
 * I would recommend setting up a number of dummy visits to the site via an external
   cronjob.
 * These are automated tasks performed by the server.
 * You will need to set up an automated task to visit your site (please set the
   cron job to visit: [http://yourdomain.com/wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron](http://yourdomain.com/wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron))
   every 5 – 10 minutes (This will also keep the rest of your WordPress scheduler
   running):
 * Your hosts may have a tool to set up a cronjob, or you can use an online  tool
   such as EasyCron
