# Updraftplus fatal error loading settings

 * When I try to open the settings panel for the UpdraftPlus plugin, I get this 
   error:

 * I have not been in the file on my control panel or changed anything there, but

 * The website appears to be working normally on the front end.

   WordPress said it’s up to date and didn’t even give me the option of updating
   in the plugin panel. I downloaded the new version and updated manually. It’s 
   working now.

 * It is likely because you have accidentally installed the Premium plugin and you
   cant update this unless you have an active licence.
 * The version you had installed started with a 2 (the Premium plugin starts with
   a 2). If you have the free version installed it should start with a 1.
