 * Hi there,
 * Could you please explain us in detail, would you like to “Ask WordPress to automatically
   update UpdraftPlus when it finds an available update.” or are you looking for
   Automatic updates for All plugins/themes/WP Core?
 * With UPdraftPlus Premium you have option to Automatically update UpdraftPlus
   plugin, but if you are looking for automatic updates for each plugin/theme you
   have installed, it can be done via Easy Updates Manager Plugin.
 * With that being said, could you also let us know what issues you are facing during
   Automatic updated in Easy Updates Manager?
 * Thanks,
    Harshad

 * Hello,
 * i Ask WordPress to automatically update UpdraftPlus when it finds an available
   update.
 * The problem it doesn’t work

 * Hi,
 * Can you please ensure Automatic Updates are enabled in EUM settings, Also can
   you please enable WordPress debug mode and check what’s there?
 * Edit your wp-config.php file and add these lines, just before it says ‘stop editing
   here’:
 * define(‘WP_DEBUG’, true);
    define(‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true); define(‘WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY’,
   false);
 * Then re-run the Force updates from EUM Settings > Advanced > Force Updates
 * This will create an debug.log file inside wp-content folder. Let’s see what it
   includes.

 * Hi,
 * Do you see any JS errors in browser developer console, when you force automatic
   updates?

 * i tried with firefox developper edition
    On the console web, i have juste this
   message : This site seems to use a positioning effect related to scrolling. This
   effect may not work properly with asynchronous scrolling. See [https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Mozilla/Performance/ScrollLinkedEffects](https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Mozilla/Performance/ScrollLinkedEffects)
   for more details or to discuss.
 * I tried several times forced updates.
    Nothing happens.

 * If those don’t work, then the setting inside UD won’t, as they’re doing the same
   thing.
 * How ‘automatic updates’ in WP work (or should work!) is that WP does a daily
   updates check, and then asks all the installed plugins “Hey, these updates are
   available, shall I install any of them?” Plugins can just say “yes” or “no”.
   WP then does the updating. So, presumably, the answer ‘yes’ is coming back, but
   WP fails to do the update. That being so, there isn’t anything in the plugin
   itself you can tweak to get a different result. You could ask your web hosting
   company; perhaps they’ve done something to disable them; or perhaps you don’t
   have enough disk space available in your account to process the update; or perhaps
   the updates checks aren’t running at all.
