 * I’m trying to upgrade to 2.7.1 using the “upgrade automatically” button. However,
   when I try I come up with the following message:
 * Unable to locate WordPress directory.
 * Installation Failed
 * Am I doing something wrong? I don’t have any plugins activated but it could easily
   be my fault somehow!

 * I think you have the same issue I have, the update system needs to write to a
   directory and if its not there it isnt able to make it so it fails.
    If you can
   FTP into your server you can make the folders etc, but then like me you might
   have to change the permissions on all the relevant files and thats a faff and
   I haven’t managed to do them all yet….
