# Upgrading Question

 * Here’s an interesting problem. When I first installed wordpress I used the kubrick
   theme as DEFAULT. I later discovered the word of plug-n-play themes but ended
   up using the default anyway.
 * So, if one were interesting upgrading to 2.5 what would one need to do in order
   to perserve one’s theme? (yes I know this is probably a dumb question but bear
   with me please)

 * In attempting to answer my own question, would I just copy everything from the
   wordpress folder up to the server except for the kubrick files? (index.php, wp-
   comments.php etc.) Then run the upgrade?
 * Or upload and overwrite everything, upgrade, then upload the saved kubrick files?

 * Backup first 🙂
 * Please don’t rely on overwrite – errors are very easily made that way. After 
   you are sure you have backed up, delete wp files, then upload new.
 * Check the templates forum sticky for
    any kubrick links you may need.
