 * Hello,
    People said putting files in another domain can increase loading speed.
   I don’t have any content delivery service. So, I’m thinking of setting the upload
   folder out of my domain but inside my web server, using the free subdomain that
   the host provided([http://subdomain.host.com](http://subdomain.host.com)).
 * Can this work?
    If this can work, another question– how to make it also work
   for secondary blogs?– their upload folder are set in the blogs.dir when installing
   multisite.
 * Regards

 * I think you’d need to change it post-creation for each site (or use .htaccess
   redirects).

 * So, that means, can move the blogs.dir out of mydomain, and set upload path in
   WP? I need more details, please!

 * You can set the upload path in WordPress by going into the Super Admin -> Sites-
   > Edit (site) and change the various settings there.
 * I would suggest using a plugin instead, though. The link I offered explains that
   w3 total cache can do it for you.

 * I’m not on dedicate server, can’t get most benefit of w3 total cache. Still can
   get some of its goodies but also get memory usage increasing. So, I figured out
   that it might not be good for me.
 * If I do it manually on Edit site page, should I put in absolute path for all
   3 places that related to the uploading? but I still wondering how WP can operate
   out of the domain.

 * ipstenu, you are brilliant! I suddenly figured out what you meant. I’m going
