    hello,

i’ve got a problem with your plugin when an author want to upload a media in its event from front end.

the plugin let me select my file on my computer and try to upload. when finished it give me an error and the file was not uploaded.

All works fine when i do same things as an administrator, on front end and backend

i’ve tried to change the rights on media folder and set it to 755 but same error.

In the same site, from front end and with same author i can write a post and upload media without problem.

I’ve also test uploading media in an other site with other themes and plugins, error is same with author.

have you got an idea so that i can resolve this matter. It ‘s the only reason because i can’t put online my new version website with your very beautiful and usefull plugin.

    thanks.

    hi,

i’ve modified settings on image size tabs, and it can accept picture that have max 700*700px and a size of 1548000 bytes. When i try to insert picture with feature 150*200 with 140kbytes the error is the same:

it is placed on the lmeft side of the WordPress wizzard for uloading media ans telle me “Error + (name of the picture) An error happen when sending. Please try later.”

    that ‘s all

this functionality work very well anywhere else in my site. The error is just for adding event .

    any idea?

    thanks

the exact error in engkish is “error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.”

Does the name of the image contain non-English characters, spaces or punctuation characters? Sometimes I’ve seen the media uploader have problems with files that are named like that.

admins can upload pictuures from front end without error.

and the same user that i transfer from author to editor can upload picture. when i move the user to author error become…..

    very strange scenario!!!

did you check user capabilities under Events > Settings > General > User Capabilities ?

    Thread Starter mikargouillat

    (@mikargouillat)

yes i have also tested upload image after giving all the righrts to the author!!!

    Same error.

Can you test after adding the following line to your wp-config.php file?

    define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );

Do you see any errors messages that give an indication about what’s wrong?

    hello,

i’ve test this, but no error are displayued as logs… in my screen….

i really don’t know what to do to resolve this error!

it’s really an error linked with the user rights because admin and author can upload files!!!

Have you tested with all other plugins deactivated and while running the default theme in case a plugin or theme is causing a permissions problem?

    Thread Starter mikargouillat

    (@mikargouillat)

yes i have also tested with all plugin desactivated and with twenty twelve theme.

    error is the same

And you don’t have any other plugins or custom code running that relates to user roles or capabilities?

    Thread Starter mikargouillat

    (@mikargouillat)

    hello,

yes i have the members extension but when i disable it , error is the same and i’ve checked all the rights. Everything is good.

    (@mikargouillat)

    hi,

i’ve checked all the rights for authors in the plugin member and i have find that if i check the rights “edit others page”,and “edit private page” for author, the error desappear.

But the link “Edit ” on all my wesite page is shown and users can access it.

is it possible that author of event manager plugin can send us a fix for this?

is somebody know, how can i remove the link edit on my pages from front end?

    best regards.

    Mickaël
