Most of those are files or folders that belong in the wp-content folder.
Every folder in WP has an index.php file, but they’re not all the same so it’s hard to know if that’s the one for wp-content. If you’re copying files on top of a fresh install, I wouldn’t copy the index file because the right on is already there and you don’t change it by making any changes in WP.
The wp-config file should go in the root folder if that’s where you have WP installed.
You might also need to make changes to wp-config to match the new database at godaddy. You should take a look at the existing wp-config file and merge any differences between them based on the new configuration with godaddy.
Hi @apedee. I work at GoDaddy.
If you’re moving your whole site over to WordPress on shared hosting (e.g. cPanel), the full instructions are here:
http://support.godaddy.com/help/article/6117/moving-your-wordpress-site-to-us-from-another-host
If you’re on Managed WordPress, it’s a slightly different process. If you’re on Managed WordPress, please let me know and I’d be happy to point you in the right direction.

Thank you Matt. I was able to get things where they belong and my site now works except for a single warning message that I am now working on.
ccarfi – I did follow those instructions but got confused because they talked about he wp-admin, wp-content and wp-include folders and I did not get my back up in that kind of format so I wasn’t sure where the files went but I’m good not. Also, although I followed the instructions I was still getting error messages. I instead migrated the site to InMotion hosting and they had an additional stem your instructions did not have regarding connecting images after a wordpress migration. So, that was very helpful. Right now I am waiting on GoDaddy to grant me access to my files again (I just switched OS to Linux) then I will re-establish my site with you guys.
