# Uploads folder issue

 * I’m having an issue uploading any file via the Add Media options. When I click
   Upload, I get this error:
 * `Unable to create directory /home/roobsa/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2008/
   09. Is its parent directory writable by the server?`
 * The most obvious thing was to check the permissions however these are all set
   to 777. Recently I moved the entire blog from the root folder into a sub folder
   in the root. I don’t really want to have to reinstall the blog as I just got 
   my site working.
 * Any suggestions?

 * Are you sure ../uploads is writeable and 777? Try settings wp-content to 777 
   as well, see if that helps. If that fails, try changing your permalinks so it
   creates a different directory structure.
