   goes?

 * This is the conventional location for media uploads.
    IF you want to upload files
   using FTP, or your web hosting uploader, then you can place your images etc really
   anywhere. It would only make sense to do so into your theme (preferably child
   theme), maybe a plugin, OR some tidy place like /Docs off the root of your site.
   No one in their right mind would mix it in with the wordpress files.
