    Hi all,

I’ve just updated Jetpack to the latest version and am now getting error message:

Warning: Illegal string offset ‘height’ in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas04_data01/64/2991864/html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.photon.php on line 474

It’s on all my pages and posts and I don’t know how to undo. Can you please advise on how I can fix the issue?

  • The first thing to check is whether any other plugins on your site may have a conflict. Please check our Known Issues list here:
    http://jetpack.me/support/getting-started-with-jetpack/troubleshooting-tips/

You can also try to deactivate all plugins on your site, and see if that resolves the issue. If it does, then activate them one at a time to determine which is causing the conflict.

If that doesn’t help, please rule out a theme conflict by temporarily changing your site’s theme to a default theme (such as Twenty Fifteen) and trying again.

Please let me know how that works for you, and we can go from there!

    Hi Ryan,

Thanks for your reply! Turns out it was the Photon add on only. Once I had deactivated that and cleared the site’s cache, the error message disappeared. I have since tried reactivating Photon and it still brings up the error, so have started using Cloudflare.

    Thanks again.

Hi Rhys! I’m glad to hear that you found a solution. If you’d like to further troubleshoot the issue with Photon, I’d be happy to help! Just let me know how you’d like to proceed.

Hi Rhys! I’ve been looking into this further, and I believe this is a known issue. Can you try applying the patch here?:
    https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/pull/3186/files

Then, see if that resolves the issue. Please let me know how that works for you!
