# Usage/Analytics Tracking

 * Does any one know if there is a way to track how people are using the maps? I
   am hoping there is a way to collect information on what people type in the search
   box as well as what filters people on my page end up using. Any ideas?

 * We prefer using the opensource analytics solution Piwik for our sites, which 
   has a comprehensive JavaScript Tracking Client – see [https://developer.piwik.org/api-reference/tracking-javascript](https://developer.piwik.org/api-reference/tracking-javascript)
   for more details.
    Maps Marker Pro also offers a Javascript Events API for LeafletJS(
   [https://www.mapsmarker.com/jseventsapi](https://www.mapsmarker.com/jseventsapi))
   which could be used to hook into leaflet events ([http://leafletjs.com/reference.html#map-events](http://leafletjs.com/reference.html#map-events))
   and trigger Piwik tracking events.
 * Unfortunately we do not have any examples for this usecase – anyway we would 
   be happy to provide a free developer license in exchange for a detailled blog
   post how to achieve this 😉
