# Use a WordPress Stack?

 * Dear WP Community
 * Could anyone tell me the advantages/disadvantages of building a site on a stack.
   I am using Bitnami and making progress.
 * Being relatively it. illiterate I would really appreciate some advice on possibly
   problems/disadvantages with this approach.
 * Might migration to a host be a problem?
 * Any advice will be gratefully received.

 * It’s really personal preference.
 * No, you will not have problems if you follow this guide [http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress](http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress)
 * It’s really not much different than moving between servers anywhere else however
   one common problem I see alot is using ‘absolute’ links with ‘localhost’ in the
   URL and in that case there are good quality plugins such as [Search and Replace](http://wordpress.org/plugins/search-and-replace/)
   to help change all URL’s in the DB to the actual domain name 🙂
