Use existing locations

    I’ve come across another issue with the import ics function. It seems regardless whether I enter the name of a location or the location ID, it always creates new locations.

    Am I doing something wrong here?

    Can you please provide which events plugin you are using for event management. also, we have done some major improvements in Ical imports, which will release in the upcoming version. Also, you can take some test of new iCal import using create demo at http://testdrive.xylusthemes.com/ and please check the same issue happen on demo site or not?

    Hello, I’m using the Events Manager plugin.

    I tried the new iCal import but that gives some very strang results.

    I tried importing two different ICS files, these are the results:
    File 1 has 35 events in total
    After importing I see:
    19 Created
    1253 Updated
    (After deleting all events and locations I retried this file and got the result 1272 updated)
    What happend is that the import added 19 events and it added 1 location.

    I then imported a second file, consisting of 110 events, which gave the following results:

    1 Created
    67 Updated

    There are now 43 events in total and 25 locations, which does not match what was in the imported files.
