# User assignment

 * are the folders user assigned (i.e. can a user create folders that only they 
   can see) also can a user share their folders with other users?

 * Unfortunately there’s no support for user-based folders at the moment, nor sharing
   of those folders.
 * It’s a great idea, however, so we’ll keep it in mind for future development 🙂

 * Hi there,
 * You’re more than welcome to try – it’ll be a reasonable amount of work however.
   The ‘folders’ in Folders are really just custom taxonomies and taxonomy terms
   that don’t interfere with any other taxonomies. It’s not immediately apparent
   to me how you’d assign those to a user.
 * I’d be interested to hear if you know a way to do this!
