# User Import – E-Mail

 * Hello all,
 * i really enjoy using your plugin but i ran into a major issue.
    When i register
   a new user in the backend he gets an activation mail and also a welcome mail 
   with the username, password and login page. But when i try to import users via
   WP All Import, the users do not get any e-mail at all. The e-mails are configured
   in ultimate member Are there any hooks I can address via custom code to send 
   these mails?

 * I found some info that should help on the Ultimate Member documentation [here](https://docs.ultimatemember.com/article/1549-export-import#:~:text=All%20users%20imported%20by%20third%2Dparty%20plugins%20are%20unapproved.).

       You have to approve imported users manually. There are two ways to approve members:
        - Use bulk action Approve Membership to approve members and send them a Welcome email.
        - Use bulk action Reactivate to approve members and send them an Account Approved email.

 * thank you so much for this doc. Yes it helped but these are some bad news.
    I
   tried another importing tool before which did not stop um from sending these 
   mails to imported users. Is there any way to do the reactivation or approval 
   via custom code while the users are beeing imported?

 * In the Import Settings, or on Step 4 of a new import, you have to disable the“
   Block email notifications during import” option in order for emails to be sent
