    Hi Tobias,

I have gone through many threads here, but am unable to find a solution to my specific issue. TablePress is showing for all users on the backend (editors & admins), however when an editor selects a table to edit they get redirected to the dashboard.

Admins are able to edit with no issue. Within User Role Editor, Editor and Admin both have all rights active, we are only hiding some parts of the admin menu from the editors.

Resetting the DB version did not solve this issue either. Do you have another solution that would help us resolve this issue?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

This sounds strange. WordPress normally does not redirect to the Dashboard on such permission issues, but returns an error message.

Can you maybe check the user access capabilities according to this list: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/tablepress-admin-capabilites-problems/#post-3524864 ?

All of those have been activated for all users.

It is very strange. I have even given all rights and allowed all menu items for the editor role and yet it still does the same thing.

When clicking on edit, or the name of the table, the URL does show in the address bar for a moment before redirecting to the homepage.

    Hi,

this redirection is coming from something else then. Can you therefore please try again after temporarily deactivating all other plugins and after switching to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Sixteen? That way, we can find what’s causing this.

Yes, once I disable User Role Editor, editors are able to access the tables to edit.

Disabling all other plugins and switching to Twenty Sixteen has the same result. When User Role Editor is active it redirects, when deactivated it works.

    Hi,

that’s strange. Then I can only assume that User Role Editor is interfering here. If possible, I’d like to take a direct look at this on your site. Could you therefore please get in touch via email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”)? That way, I can investigate this directly. Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias
