 * Does this plugin allow for User Shops and can they control their products from
   their Buddpress profile? I envision one marketplace with many user shops feeding/
   managing it from their BP profiles.

 * I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
 * Yes using this plugin you cal allow users to create their shops and let them 
   manage it.
 * To achieve this you have to create multisite allowing users to register user 
   account & site( Shop ) on it and have to network activate the MarketPress plugin
   as described on the following thread.
