# Users without profiles – remove link from dashboard

 * Hi,
    I am helping my village history group to create a WordPress website – [http://www.fairlighthistory.co.uk](http://www.fairlighthistory.co.uk)
   We have a defined set of users who are our members. We are using the User Registration
   plugin to allow our members to log in (so that they can see non-public information).
   The standard login page invites users to edit their profile details – but there
   aren’t any and I don’t see the benefit in having them. How can the message “From
   your account dashboard you can edit your profile details and edit your password”
   be removed? Thanks, Bill

 * OK so I have found the code that generates this message in dashboard.php and 
   I have commented it out. Is this the right way to do things – (it doesn’t feel
   like it)?

   now!
