 * If I use #_ICALLINK to add an event to my calendar on my phone should the item
   on my phone be updated if the event is edited in WordPress?

 * That depends on your phone and calendar software: the ical link will always show
   the latest info, but your calendar needs to subscribe to it and periodically 
   refresh it (that is sometimes an option in your calendar software).
