 * Looking for a way to display a form **within** a post
 * The post will outline the details of the event along with a form for the guest/
registered user to fill out. After it is submitted the results are displayed (
either automatically or require approval) within the post and can be sorted.
 * Just an example: pot luck party
Each guest fills out the form (drop down/text)
with their name and item they are bringing. After they submit, everyone will
see who is bringing what to avoid duplicate items.
 * Can anyone recommend a plugin for this?

 * Looks like you need one of the functionality of Events plugin, here are some
   of them:

 * Thanks for the list but the event plugins you listed (add an event in backend,
calendar of all events, payment, display on as widget, display on different,
etc. etc.) seems to be overkill.
 * Not looking to build an event site (I was using that as an example) but looking
for more of a form that will allow front end submission and to display within
the same post that it is related to.
 * Another example:
One post about volunteering. Form input has name and date.
After form is submitted, the list shows all opportunities available. Visitors
can sort by date and organization.

 * Yes, they can be overkill, but I haven’t seen a simple plugin like that. Try
your luck in the plugin directly, might find it if you are luck 🙂
