Using External Fonts

Ok, so i have my WP site up and running, i needed lots of help from various sites including this one. Now i’m at an impass and need to pose a question.

What i want to do is use an external font residing on my server and be able to use it selectivly in some text on some HTML pages. i have tried many things and this is what i have currently:

in 2010 theam style.css—

and in example HTML page—

<p class="mead"; style="text-align: center;"> <b> <font size=+2 color=#000000> my text </ font> </ b/> </ p>

i don’t think there is anything else preventing meadbold from loading because if i set the font to “mead bold” which resides on my development station it loads and looks as i want.
