 * I have a client that has a lot of media such as pdf’s and images. I wondering
   is there a way of storing the media on google drive and getting wordpress to 
   access it.

 * Yes this is very much possible. You can MAP your images which are in Google Drive
   with WordPress Media Library. Please see this URL and i am sure this is what 
   you are looking for.

   allow direct linking to files on Google drive and that tutorial is no longer 
   valid. I know this because I relied on it heavily in a site I manage and have
   had to develop my own plugin to use archive.org instead.

   of your media, if you can host it at [https://www.archive.org/](https://www.archive.org/)
   then you can use my plugin too to add the media to your media library and use
   it as normal from there:
