 * Well, due to dissatisfaction with new UI and missing features (e.g, clickable
info links in block list) after last Wordfence Upgrade, I finally finished downgrading
all my installs to the free version. I’ve got better things to spend our hard
earned money on. Am using IQ Block Country as my country blocking plugin, it
plays nice with Wordfence free version and arguably has better features. In terms
of comparing all other premium features to free version, I found them all somewhat
useless if not dysfunctional. Can’t get into any more detail than that due to
forum rules. Sad what’s happened with Wordfence, perhaps their emphasis will
change to function instead of form, meanwhile I’ll keep using Wordfence, but
am looking at other security plugins. The Wordfence one-click downgrade process
   is appreciated, nicely done. MTN

 * I hear ya, MTN…. the “new” interface leaves a lot to be desired, even with the
recent changes. It’s pretty much mass confusion as far as finding anything anymore.
 * Reports/logs I could see in seconds has now become hunt and peck…. (case in point,
the list of temporary blocks don’t seem to appear anywhere anymore – the blocking
Tab seems to contain the permanent blocks only).

 * The conclusion is that older Wordfence versions were easy to use and suitable
for admins who wanted to check reports, etc. But the new version is full of eye-
candy stuff, shiny UI but very hard to use and a nightmare for admins. If Wordfence
was a plugin created for site visitors, then the UI changes were understandable
but from an admin point-of-view who just want to check reports, its a very wrong
   decision.
 * The best solution would be implementing a new option to use new UI or old UI.

 * In my opinion, the eye candy isn’t even all that wonderful even for the new user.
It’s rather insulting to the intelligence, such as those huge bot icons and the
red circles with the cross. Just stupid looking, much better if they were a tenth
the size or perhaps eliminated as they are accompanied by very clear and explicit
text, for example “Type: Bot” Playing around with the CSS while in Live Traffic,
it’s easy to make the blocked icons grey, much easier on the eyes. Clearly, whoever
designed this interface has nearly zero visual design skills. Gigantic red dots?
   Seriously? MTN
