I’ve installed the Jetpack plugin and it looks like it’s correctly installed. * My goal is to use Jetpack to allow me to pull images into WP posts from my Google Photos account. But when I go to compose a post, and choose images, there is no reference to GP anywhere. Looking more closely at the Jetpack setup, it seems like it wants me to create a WP.com account. Since I’m self-hosted, I’ve avoided having a WP.com account, but it appears that some functionality in Jetpack is dependent on having a WP.com account. * What I can’t figure out is, do I need the WP.com account to enable GP image integration? I see a long list of features that are, and are not, dependent on the WP.com account but GP image integration is not listed for either. * My goal, initially, is to be able to use a desktop browser (chrome) to create a WP post, and then pull in images from my GP account. * Thanks for any assistance. There’s no way around that as many of the JetPack features run off of WordPress. com infrastructure and platform. I don’t mind creating a WP.com account if that’s the best way to go, but it does seem that JetPack is a very wide-ranging solution that may be overkill for my needs. * I see that the search results above yield a few answers that refer to Google Drive, not Google Photos; I presume Google Drive includes the photo repository structure. However, I see nothing new at all after install when composing a new page or post. That response had factually incorrect information. * JetPack **_supports_** adding individual Google Photos images. I even gave JetPack’s own step-by-step instructions to do this in my earlier post. * But… and it’s a big “but”… the feature is only available when editing your site from WordPress.com. Here’s what I mean: * Once you connect your JetPack to a WordPress.com account, your self-hosted WordPress( aka WordPress.org) site becomes available for full management at WordPress.com. You can create/edit posts/pages, install new plugins and themes, etc… all from WordPress.com… just like any real WordPress.com site. * And JetPack’s Google Photos integration only works when editing your WordPress. org site from WordPress.com. That’s where the connection sits. I’ve since set up not only a wordpress. com (shorthand: wp.com) account, but also, a wp.com site (myTestSite.wp.com). So – at this point, I have (mytestsite.wp.com) and (mySelf-HostedSite.com). The wp.com site is ‘perfect’ in the way it hooks into google photos, without even touching ‘jetpack’ – when I want to load an image, GP is right there as an alternate media source (as your image above shows). If I can use that interface to creates posts on ‘mySelfHostedSite.com’, that sounds great! But – how do I link ‘mySelfHostedSite. com’ to wp.com, and how do I differentiate between the two sites when editing/ etc? I installed the jetpack plugin (there are at least 8, by the way – need to pick the first one) – “Jetpack – WP Security, Backup, Speed, and Growth – Improve your WP security with powerful one-click tools like backup, WAF, and malware scan. Includes free tools like stats, CDN and social sharing.” (not at all obvious that it’s this one!). Then say ‘no’ to every option/ feature / upsell, but then go in and configure it so you can log into your site using wordpress.com. * Then – magically – you will ‘see’ your self-hosted site as one of the ‘sites’ available. But then I don’t know how you are supposed to do the ‘media’ thing… but I guessed at it based on the screenshot in a previous post: * [https://wordpress.com/media/
