Using Lightbox in Admin screen

I am modifying an ad plugin I wrote for a client and, in the Ad management area in admin, I would like to place a text link for each ad which would open the ad image in a lightbox. So far, have been unable to get the lightbox to activate. Is it possible to use the lightbox in an admin screen?
