 * I have used the ‘numeric’ permalinks for years. So all of my posts appear like
   this: [http://www.bmedreport.com/archives/15639](http://www.bmedreport.com/archives/15639)
 * Does this mean that all posts are “archives” now (since it has archives in the
URL)? I ask because I have in Google XML sitemap set to not index archives (to
avoid duplicate content). Does this mean it won’t index posts too (since their
is the archives in the URL)?
 * I noticed when I peruse posts by archives the links changes to this: [http://www.bmedreport.com/archives/date/2010/07](http://www.bmedreport.com/archives/date/2010/07).
Perhaps this is enough to distinguish between an “archive” and a “post” for the
   sake of bots?
 * I hope I am making sense here. Any help is appreciated.
 * Thanks!
    Chris

 * Im sure the plugin would grab the posts urls based on database record information
which would say it is a post or not. Or use built in wordpress functions that
do the same. But I haven’t looked at the plugin code.
    The permalinks structure
is just a meaningless word you typed into the structure options.
 * Your sitemap.xml is full of your posts though right now.

 * Ok. I didn’t realize that there was a way to detect a post versus archive built-
in. It sounds like I am OK then. Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate
   it.
