# Using shortcode for User Ads

 * I am using [AWPCPUSERLISTINGS] in a sidebar to show the user his ads.
 * Love this idea, but because its a sidebar, there is only so much space. Is there
   a way to change the way this looks using the shortcode? I was thinking only a
   simple text list of the users ads and not show the pictures.

 * Hi Tammy,
 * We create widgets for use in the sidebars as they are specifically designed to
   handle the limited real estate there. They should be visible under Appearance-
   >Widgets.
 * Shortcodes are best suited for the main content area of a page. Using them in
   the sidebars definitely isn’t supported as an option right now, since we assume
   we have more space than a sidebar can provide.
