# Using static main page

 * I attempted to set my main page to a static page. I set the main page as ‘Splash’
   and the recent posts page as ‘Recent.’ But although the recent posts page sticks,
   after saving the changes the main page drop down goes back to the default ‘Main
   Page (no parent).’ The main page of the site still shows my recent posts rather
   than my splash page.
 * Could this be a theme-related issue or something else?

 * Have you tried switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific
   problems.
