# Using Traction Theme nowadays, does it wrong?

 * Hello there,
 * Nowadays, I wish to change my theme and I think of using Traction theme on there:
   [http://wordpress.org/themes/traction](http://wordpress.org/themes/traction)
 * It fits my needs. Footer, Right Sidebar (with ads options) and dark style. Currently
   I’m using Esplanade theme with a little custom option. This is a good theme, 
   really good but it has really bad sidebar and widget styles.
 * Anyway, Traction doesn’t get any update approximately 2.5 years. How does it 
   effect my site? I’m not good at these technical facts. I need some professional
   or experienced opinions.

 * That theme has not been updated in almost 5 years, may not longer be supported
   by its developer or be compatible with current/future versions of WordPress. 
   I would strongly recommend that you use a more recent theme asap.
