 * I’m a wordpress newbie so would appreciate any advice you seasoned pro’s can
   give!
 * I have wp installed at [http://www.golfbettingguide.com/dir](http://www.golfbettingguide.com/dir)
   and have my site theme working.
 * I want to use wp as a link directory similar to [http://www.jpfco.com/dir/](http://www.jpfco.com/dir/)
   which also uses wp.
 * Basically mine will be a little simpler in that it will
    just have categories
   to list submitted sites under (after they’ve added a link to my site on theirs).
   Categories like “Sports Betting”, “Golf Equipment” “Poker”, etc.
 * So I have a few questions:
    1) The jpfco site has an “add your url” page set
   up at [http://www.jpfco.com/dir/add-your-url/](http://www.jpfco.com/dir/add-your-url/)
   and a “link to us” page at [http://www.jpfco.com/dir/add-your-url/link-to-us/](http://www.jpfco.com/dir/add-your-url/link-to-us/)
 * I want to duplicate this but I’m unsure where I need to install my equivalent
   pages. If I create sub directories within my wp theme folder and place index.
   php pages in them, wp doesn’t find them. Does anyone know where they should go
   so that I can maintain those directory names?
 * 2) Are there any good wp plugins for a link manager system? If not, should I
   do something like the following:-
 * i) Webmasters use an add your url form which emails me their site details, (url,
   link words, description etc)
 * ii) I then manually post the details under the relevant category (Poker, golf
   equipment etc)
 * Sorry if this is real noddy stuff but I’m still trying to get my head around
   how wp works.
 * Any advice much appreciated,
 * cheers…Graham

 * No plugins far as I know. I’d suggest instead of trying to force wp into a mold
   for which it’s unfitted, you check out [http://phplinkdirectory.com/](http://phplinkdirectory.com/)–
   which I use myself and have had pretty good luck with (aside from the developers
   begging for money all the time – they don’t seem to quite understand the theory
   behind open source freeware….)
 * [btw – we are ALL wp support…. entirely a volunteer community support effort….]
